Share Cards
Auto-branded win images members share to social: a built-in referral loop, on by default.
When a member hits a milestone (unlocks a badge, completes a set, reaches a streak, or lands in the top of a leaderboard), Onsend mints an auto-branded share card: a polished image in your branding that the member can post to social. Every card carries the member's referral link, so a shared win turns into new sign-ups. It's a growth loop that runs itself, on by default.
On by default, nothing to set up
Share cards are enabled out of the box. They pick up your branding automatically, so the better your branding is dialled in, the better your share cards look. There's no switch to flip to start using them.
What triggers a card
A share card is generated when a member:
- unlocks a badge, or reaches a new prestige tier on one,
- completes a badge set,
- hits a check-in streak milestone, or
- ranks near the top of an active campaign leaderboard.
The member sees a Share action at these moments and on their profile, which opens the card and a one-tap post to X with pre-filled text.
The referral loop
Every share card is tied to the sharing member's referral code. When someone opens the shared card's "Join" link, they arrive on your project already carrying that member's referral, so the new sign-up is attributed back, and your existing referral rewards kick in. A member showing off a badge is, in effect, recruiting for you.
Cards are always on-brand
Share cards render in your project's colours, logo and name, never "Onsend." They use the same branding your public surface does, so they stay consistent with everything else your community sees.
Turning share cards off
Share cards are on for every project by default. If you'd rather disable them (the public share surface and the in-app Share buttons), that's a support-set change: email support@onsend.com and Onsend will switch them off for your project. There's no self-serve toggle for this in the dashboard today.
Tips
- Get your branding right first. Share cards inherit your logo and colours, so a sharp brand setup makes every shared win look professional.
- Lean into the loop. Share cards turn milestones into referrals at no extra cost, so the more milestones your campaigns create, the more your community shares.
