User Classes

Behavioral classes that sort members by how they engage (On-Chain, Social, Collector, Loyalist, Newcomer), each with its own perk.

User classes sort your members by how they engage. Onsend watches each member's quest activity and assigns them a primary class: are they an on-chain power user, a social amplifier, a collector, a daily loyalist, or still finding their feet? Each class carries a small perk: a scoped XP multiplier (and optional coin bonus) on the kinds of quests that define it. It's a way to reward members for leaning into their natural style.

A member's class is their strongest behaviour, whichever signature area they're most active in. Newcomer is the starting state for members who don't yet have enough activity to classify.

Turning classes on

Open Classes in the admin sidebar (requires the Admin role) and toggle Enable User Classes.

Enabling classifies your whole community

When you enable classes you'll confirm a prompt: "Enable User Classes? This will classify all your users based on their activity." Onsend then classifies your existing members from their quest history. New members are classified as they become active. You can disable it again at any time.

Classification isn't instant

After you enable classes (or after a member's behaviour shifts), the classification is applied by a recalculation that runs once a day, not the instant a member completes a quest. Don't expect the distribution to update in real time; give it a day to settle.

Per-class perks

Each class has its own settings card where you tune its perk:

  • Enabled: whether members can earn this class.
  • Perk multiplier (XP): the scoped XP multiplier applied when a member of this class completes one of its signature quests (1โ€“10; defaults around 1.15ร—). It only applies to that class's signature quest types, not everything.
  • Perk coins per completion: an optional coin bonus on signature quests (requires the coin economy).

The distribution panel

The Classes page shows a live distribution: stat cards and a bar chart of how many members fall into each class, with the total classified. It's a quick read on the shape of your community: heavy on Social, light on On-Chain, lots of Newcomers still warming up.

Tips

  • Tune perks to nudge behaviour. A bigger On-Chain perk pulls members toward on-chain quests; a Loyalist perk rewards daily returners. Small multipliers add up.
  • Give it a day. Classification recalculates daily, so enable classes ahead of when you want the distribution to be meaningful.
  • Watch the Newcomer share. A large Newcomer slice means many members haven't engaged enough to classify yet, a sign to drive more first quests.
